Sheldon Brown: 1944-2008
Just heard the sad news that bicycle technical guru, internet legend and community treasure Sheldon Brown passed away last Sunday. He was a real advocate and served as an example to all of us in cycling world. The community is richer for his having lived. He'll be missed by many...I've learned so much from him over the years from his articles on the Harris Cyclery website.

ambivalent

I felt mixed emotions and had both positive and negative feelings when I noticed these battered showers that such a soft and gentle thing as water could possess such erosive capabilities, we know for a fact that this is indeed true. And I remembered Lao Tzu's quote: "Soft and yielding as it is, water is able to slowly change things that appear to be hard and inflexible."
