big blue

Cesme, Izmir
Whenever I see dolphins from far, Luc Besson's cult movie "Le Grand Bleu" comes to my mind.

I have come to your blog through Blognote's. I love your photos and the dolphins remind me of when I saw them here in New Zealand for the first time. I was totally amazed at the size and power they displayed. I fell in love with them right there and then.

Where I grew up on the California coast, dolphins often escorted boats and ships into harbor, running ahead and beside. They are such magnificent animals. Your capture is so perfect I can almost hear the water. Your work always inspires me. Thank you.

Fortunately there are still some dolphins in the ocean. I wish the oceans were protected better than they are.

Your observations are right about the film. It's a gorgeous image, such a rich blue.

Great capture. Dolphins are my favorite sea dwellers. The details of the water ripple around him are perfect, as is the compliment of the steel gray and wonderful blue of the ocean.
