japanese photography

Kenji Kawamoto during his presentation, Izmir
Previous day, I attended to a presentation on chronology of significant events and photographers in the history of Japanese photography presented by Kenji Kawamoto.
It was very interesting to know about Japanese photography's expansion and development of its own identity and how Japanese fine-art photography achieved a worldwide recognition with such names as Araki, Sugimoto, etc...
Event hosted by Çizgelikedi, a visual arts initiative.
Thanks to Kenji Kawamoto, Arzu Filiz Güngör and Yalçın Çıdamlı for their efforts.

I love the focus on the writing. I majored in Japanese at university though I don't remember much now as I have never used it. But I also majored in Italian and have used that extensively including acquiring an Italian husband.

Thank you very much for coming to Cizgelikedi and sharing the event with us. It was a pleasure, and it is a very nice surprise to see this lovely photo of Kenji in your blog.

I just added a link to the blog from ours (cizgelikedi.blogspot.com) and also I will be coming back and checking what's new, whenever possible! It's nice to get to know a good hard working photographer...
with best wishes,
Arzu

Meanwhile, your adding a link of my blog to yours is greatly appreciated. I'm truly honored by your words, you are very generous and kind...
