Aah ... you see ... I interpreted this quite differently. Young people are always running around so busily that sometimes they overlook things that are important and only understand how important when it is too late to stop and realise.

This is surely your dad in the photo. Excellent photo of the atmosphere which you briefly describe with the short phrase.
"Don't be late", "Drive safely" are the usual recommendations we give to our children, even if they are already grown-ups! I confess that I still do but without stressing my son too much, though!
