A dormitory housing female students collapsed in central Turkey early today, killing at least 15 children...

Oh dear, Turkey has so much to bear lately. I'm so sorry to hear this news. It didn't even show up on International news. I'm appalled.

It was widely reported here in Australia. Once again, Selim, my thoughts are with you and your countrymen. I have not read that the events of this week are at all connected.

I am not sure about protection - we only grow strong if we have to withstand the buffeting. THere are forms of protection that are suffocating ...

A perfect image and touching post to express the horrible news and your thoughts about it. Our friends in Turkey told us 25 years ago of the faulty construction practices they witnessed in big city apartment buildings. Perhaps the sad loss of these young people will prompt further regulation and inspection in building practices county-wide to better protect the public.
